Terms of Use

These terms apply to the WordVia app for iOS and Android (“the app”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.

If you downloaded WordVia from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

What is free

Reading, translation, listening and your dictionary are free. Without a subscription, you get five training sessions a day.

WordVia Premium

WordVia Premium makes training unlimited.

• Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, billed yearly or monthly. The price is shown in the app and in the store before you buy.
• New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
• Payment is charged to your Apple or Google account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
• The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel the subscription in your store account: App Store or Google Play. Deleting the app does not cancel it.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules.

Your books

Books and documents you import stay on your device. You are responsible for having the right to read the files you import. The books in the built-in library are public domain works.

Translations and exercises

Translations come from the translation service you choose in the settings or from offline language models on your device. Training exercises are written automatically by a language model. Both can contain mistakes: use them as a learning aid, not as an authoritative source.

Fair use

Do not copy, modify or resell the app, try to get around the subscription, or send automated requests to the WordVia server.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”. We work to keep it running and accurate, but we do not guarantee that it will be free of errors or always available. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws of your country.

Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last revised.
